It's a very sincere compliment. European car culture is different than the USA. I've never seen that color combo. It just feels ...Continental ... Looks vintage and simple ultra modern at the same time.

Todays take off the hardtop...but still with the 18" winter rims...
Next step 350mm brake upgrage with bigger Audi S8 4pistons calipers..
Took them today to my painter for a new yellow paint job
The 19" Turbo rims will get back on my car next week after my technical service here in germany

Yesterdays instalation of the new Frontbrake on my 996.
They are Audi S8 calipers with the 996 GT3 350x34mm disc.
Execpt of the the small brakelines which you have to optimize a little bit everything fits plug&play
The looking of the big front brake makes me really grrrrrr

Are a lot of peeps over there running this setup?

Just to clarify, what year Audi are these calipers from? Any machining of either the calipers or rotors needed? Or are they direct bolt on.

I was gonna get gt3 spindles and run the OEM gt3 setup initially. Now I'm gonna have to rethink that path and maybe look at this route. Thanks!

Hey guys, its from a Audi S8 D2 year 2000. They also run 4piston Brembo calipers but much bigger than the 996. Like I said nothin is need to be modyfied except the litte metal brake pipe from the caliper to the brake line.
With the calipers I run the 350x34 996 GT3 brake disc and thats it !!!
I hope I could help you out with this Info..
I dunno any other guy who is running this offset on a 996. I bought this complete brake package from a guy who was running it on a early 997 non S.
those have the same parameter for their calipers...

Btw, I almost have the same upgrades as you regarding the engine. But not the headers / racecat.

Did you notice a big diffrence?

My seats are the original 996 sport seats out of a 996 GT2. The back is painted in glossy black and thats it. Nothin special...
Iam sure to get a noticable power increase you have to update the software
regarding to all the changes you made on your car.
I noticed after installing the headers and the CAI that my car was running a little better in the higher rpms. If there is now more hp i really cant tell you...
probably 10-15 hp. but do you really notice that ??

Yeah, I did the VR tuning, and after that the car realy came together. My friend has a 997 Gen 2 and mine is now faster than his, and he has 50 hp more than me in the stock version

The reason I was wondering is that I am thinking about going down the rabbithole whit a Supercharger. In that case I would proberly leave my headers/cats as they are. But if I am not going that way I will proerly change them. Cant realy decide
