Getting gum out of floor mats?

This is completely ridiculous, but can you guys tell me how to get chewing gum out of floor mats? The wifus didnt check her shoes before i picked her up.

Second question...should i make her take her shoes off before getting in the car going forward, or is tht a bit overboard?

Thanks for the help.

Have the wife use the ice to get the gum out. Lesson taught gum removed.

Ice works. Turning a can of compressed air upside down will freeze it too but it might also stain it.

If you lived in Ohio you could just set the mat outside for a half hour and it would be froze solid. gum would pop right off.
