Question Erractic idle

Hey guys,I have a 2001 996 and I have an erractic idle. Autozone pulled my check engine light code and came up with "P0507". My idle will intermittently jump up to 1200 and after a while will settle back down at 800. Any hints. Thanks

I started getting erratic soon after I washed my 996tt. Turned out I had cracked coils. The idling cleared up after the car dried out. But I replaced my coils soon after and haven't had the issue since.

P0507 Idle air control at stop - above limit
Possible fault cause
- Throttle is jammed
- Leaks in intake air system

Is your oil fill cap tight?

Mine was a clamp on the intake crossover tubes. It was ****ed off at the bottom and wasn't sealing. Took me about a month to find.
