No more Brake Dust :)

Lucent put in my Mintex Red Box pads in today. Installation was around 2 hours. Tom as always did a great job installing them. Usually driving the car for couple hours, you will notice the brake dust on the Inner and outer side of my silver Techart wheels. Today, driving back to Orange County and going to a friends house , (pretty much driving most of today), I still don't see black dust on the wheels. If you touch the inner side by finger, you will see a light film of dust on your finger, but nothing visible to the eye.

Brakes feel very soft, and that' due to the break in period;

Overall I am happy that I don't see the ugly dust on my Techarts.

thinking about getting Porsche Center caps,

do they make it for Techart wheels or is it standard. Has anyone put Porsche center caps on Techarts?

When you get a chance, please let me know how they are as far as fade resistance and overall "grippiness". The minimal break dust is great but, I don't want to give up anything in the other two areas.

Thanks.

Yes, please comment on squealing... I don't mind giving up performance for street use (I would put hi-po pads for any track events anyway), so it's all about dust and noise for me...

This is funny because I just realized that I'm one of the few people who doesn't care (that much) about brake noise.

Arling can provide more info about the labor and replacement,

but I was there for 2 hours, and they bled my brakes and refilled with new brake fluid. After the wheels came off the car for the pad work to be done, I polished/waxed the inner and outer sides, and they have been so clean still. I will post more details about the fading and brake noise , gripness, etc.

So far, they are soft, and Tom told me to do the break in on these new pads. Coming from LA to orange county gave me a chance to do some breakin in . But I need at least couple hundred miles before I can really push on these brakes.
