Alignment Question Just Lowered 02 Cab w/ H&R

Just lowered my 02 Cabriolet with H&R Springs with 19X8.5 and 19X11 iforged wheels. Was told to take car to Porsche dealership locally and they charged me $125 to tell me that my alignment was off. And could not align it, recommended to remove the springs.

WTF?

That's bizarre. How much lower is the car? Is it really that much lower than the Euro 030?

I would recommend finding a local alignment shop that the autox'ers and track guys use for their cars. There not afraid of lowered cars.

And next time go to NTB to tell you that it's off and they can't do anything. Their alignment check is free...

You're rolling on an 02 vert on springs? No worries.

My '02 cab is lowered w/ springs - - was aligned by an independent porsche shop with no problems. That does sound strange...

I also had my cab lowered with H&R springs. I can tell where where not to go in Tucson. If I had to do it over again I would go to EVO or take a road trip to Lucent.

I installed H&R springs at the local porsche dealership in south florida on a '02 C4 cab, when I picked it up the rear was 1" HIGHER than the rear. They told me that it was because it was a C4. Well they agreed and changed them our for Champion H&R springs and the car looks great. They also aligned it and I have not had any issues at all.

I had H&R springs on my C4 and didn't have a height problem like this. Every car settles a little different on springs, but not THAT different.

As for the dealer not being able to do the alignment, I had the same problem with a dealer in Boston. I don't know exactly what the issue was...
