guards red ?
I have been kicking around up here for a little bit. I am usually on the 986 forum . I am on my 3rd 986 boxster and know them well. I have been looking for a 996 3.6 . I found a real nice one with all the options I want but it's guards red . I am not sure of buying the red any thoughts on guards red ? 2 of my 986 cars where arctic silver and 1 seal gray . I did have a guards red 944 a few years back .

I just purchased a guards red 996 after owning an arctic silver 996. I too had a red 944 prior to the 996. I wasn't sure about my "new" red one but after a thorough detailing I must say that's it pretty bad ***. All the other cars in my stable are silver. The change of color keeps me smiling mile after mile.

I recommend to stop over-thinking the whole matter. If you have to ask a forum lot what color to buy, you aren't ready to buy it. Find a color that rocks you and buy it. Guards Red is perfect.

I think there aren't a lot of red 996s around.
Its a great colour. I didn't hesitate about the colour being red before buying mine. I'd say go for it

Thanks for the comments. I just have not even consider red as a choice at all . I have been in contacted with the seller , so we shall see .

I can tell you, it stands out and people always stop me to talk about the car. As usual, they are amazed it is a 13 year old car. Do make sure you get a color you are really happy living with in the long run though. Guards Red was my first choice.

it sounds like you dont really love the red, its irrelevant whether other people like it or not, you are the one who will be driving and looking at it, if you are reluctant then dont buy it, wait for the color that you love
