Leather Issue ?
I have a 1.5" scratch on my drivers seat back and am wondering if there is such a thing as a type of touch up leather dye pencil? Car had full "natural leather" color. Thx for any replies / suggestions.

The Porsche natural leathers are more fragile than their standard leather. They wear more quickly and they are more easily damaged. This is certainly the case for me with the Natural Brown Leather in my C4S. I suggest that you visit a leather repair/upholstery shop. They should be able to do repairs or sell you some dyes or other products to repair the scratch.

There is a company on ebay that sells the covers for these cars for $215 a pair or something like that. (Don't quote me on the price) The company is in china they claim is genuine leather and they have all the colors. I have never got a set my self but I know other people on this site have. Might be an alternative if the upholstery shops tries to screw on the price. Apparently everyone thinks we crap cash cause we have one of these cars. I got quoted $300 per seat to remove and strengthen the bottom area. Nothing to do with leather repair. Even to just replace covers they would not touch it under $300.

If you're getting wear and scratches on the backrest bolsters, here's an inexpensive solution. They're Auto Chaps. I installed them in my 996 and they work pretty good.

You can buy some pre-mixed matching leather dye from www.leatherrepairkits.com and give it a try yourself.
