Ray, I fly into Norfolk every few years and drive to Crisfield, MD to see my sis. Last time I went to Norfolk I went aboard the USS Wisconsin BB64, what a monster..Im partial to anything Navy...:}

 

Well, we opened front radiator pipes and flushed from there the cooling system with high pressure and VERY hot water. The water pump was of course not on nor the thermostat. We did this three times or until i did not see any debris and just clear water.
