MO30 or Coilovers?!
Ok here's the situation. I drive a 99 996 as a daily driver. I plan on taking it to autocrosses and track events shortly. I want to get a Euro MO30 with GT3 swaybars instead of coilovers. Two main reasons why.
1.) I live in downtown Orlando(lots of cobblestone roads) I feel the MO30 would perform better.
2.) Price! Coilovers tend to be more money. Is the performance of a coilover actually any better and by how much?
All input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

i went with the Row 030, and tend to regret it at times even tho it's the more practical choice for me...
i find that from and aesthetics point of view i would have liked the car to sit a bit lower, which the coilovers would have solved, and i don't doubt that the performance improvement would have been substantial too, but the other thing to keep in mind is that if you intend on autoXing the car, it's not as simple as dropping the car before the event, every time the height is adjusted the alignment is going to have to be redone, i guess you could just stick to adjusting the dampening.... but just something to keep in mind, in my situation, the road conditions also determined the setup i went with, i just can't help but drool when i see these guys in cali with the tires tucked cause of the coil over setups...

Bilstein PSS9's with Gt3 Bars are a bit more supple than a gt3 suspension and handle like a dream. I run my car all over ant it's not too harsh. With my NA 1999 996 I consistently run with some of the best autoXers in PCA. My regions, Dennis Howard, was THE fastest street Porsche at this years PCA parade - and just a hair off FTD. I have beaten him with much less horspower and this setup. Spend the money and get the coilovers, you wont regret it. Don't forget the tires - you need Hoosiers or the new Kuhmo's.
Good Luck!

Andreas-definately coilovers, but dont forget to upgrade your sway bar end links as well. A few days at the track and the stockers will fail. I have some customers who have ruined factory droplinks in a 1 day session. Benjamin is correct, the KW's are a great suspension, we have also had great success with the h&r's as well, but the dont have the dampening/rebound adjustment of the kw's. Let me know if I can be of any other help. Marc
