a lot of people dislike K&N but I have had one on my last 5 vehicles and have been happy, 2+ years on 997 and looks good, just don't oil them too much after cleaning

Yes +1 I've had on for going on three years with no issues. The secret to oiling is first only oil the intake side, then put some paper towels on it and rest it in the sun for an hour or so. Works every time.

BMC is shooting themselves in the foot by not offering any.

ALSO, any smart company knows it's better to rectify a situation for measly $30(their cost) than to risk a LOT more from a tarnished reputation on the internet and trying to do damage control after the fact.

I truly hope they are reading this and getting enlightened by it. They and others need to change the way they do business, especially in the internet age IMO.

I no longer want to have this product in my arsenal and will probably sell it just like I sold my Fabspeed products.

maybe BMC did read this & some pictures I'd sent them. I guess they don't want to tarnish their brand. I got an email from SpeedMob in california, must be one of their retailer. Anybody heard of them. They said they would sent me a new one ASAP. I was surprised, BMC does have a heart after all. Who knew if you just ask.

Great outcome.

I'm glad someone was able to listen to logic. Hopefully they can train their reps to prevent this type of stuff moving forward so they can be proactive in promoting their products rather than reactive in defending it.

Ok MkC2, you can rep me a point in helping me achieve the 100 mark for this since I'm in high school and you know these rep points can boost my ego. lol
