programming a key fob?

I did a search and found that the dealer has to hook up the car to a computer. Anyone have the software to program the key fobs? Do I have to take the car to the dealer?

Not 100% positive, but I believe manualy locking and unlocking the the car 3x then hitting the lock button programs it. At least this what the dealer did b4 telling me I needed a new fob b4 it would not reprogram. I might have been taken though....

If you just bought a new key fob, you can exchange the guts with the old one and save the money on the dealer reprograming
