What companies have you used, how much are they, and what have been your experiences with them?

i'm thinking of buying from warranty direct but not sure if they are good. anyone filed a claim from them before? my car is lightly modded (intake, GIAC and mufflers), so i'm not sure if this is gonna get me in trouble when i file a claim.

I got my extended warranty from Automotive Professionals Inc.. Covered my car from 73K miles to 109K miles for about 1300. Made the money back for me almost instantly when my 5th gear synchro went out. I had about 5 claims with them and there was never any problem getting service.

Do you have the number of the agent that signed you up?

I just called API, and they quoted me $5,000 for an extended 100K warranty.

I have an '02 C2

FWIW before you renew - to fix an RMS leak, it only costs about $1k. I know you have peace of mind with the warranty, because a lot of stuff could go wrong that costs > $2500. I would think the newer design of the RMS would prevent any further problems - I had 2 myself, the 1st using the same part that failed already, the 2nd using a different seal design, and I've had zero issues since.

Good luck.

In California?

Anyone know of extended warranty companies operating in California? I tried to get about a year ago and Warranty Direct said due to changes in laws they can't offer coverage in California.
