Thumbs up

Those are beautiful pictures of your car and the country side.

I was over in Stockholm twice this year (hadn't been there for over 6 years) and I really love the area. It's really nice to see the snow ... at least from a distance!

I always loved driving my previous C4S in the snow ... truly an awesome experience!

Wow, great pics, can I ask for the 1st and 6th pics in higher res as well?

How does the car handle in the snow? Doesn't it tend to track and follow the snow/ice ruts? I'm in Canada, and am looking at a Carrera4 in the near future ...

Nice Nordschleife sticker too!

Zorro,

I have no problems with tracking at all with the wheels I´m running. For winter I use the skinniest that will fit: 205 on 7 inch front and 225 on 8.5 inch at the back. No spacers.

Ground clearence will obviously be an issue on lowered cars, but the car handles brillantly on snow; stable and yet very willing to change direction with just a flick of the wrist and a few mm´s extra right foot.

The C4 has fantastic drive and will leave most other cars for dead during acceleration on a slippery surface - and this can catch you out when its time to stop or turn... And with the PSM turned off IT WILL SPIN if you mess up or let the reigns out too much. Just like a classic Porsche. Fun.
For pure transportation I allways leave the PSM on, but for inspired driving on snow or ice you have to turn it off, as the slip angles tend to be outside the parameters of the electronic brain and it will interfere too much.

So you spotted the sticker in the Hi-Res! Few people do, or know what it is... :-)

Driving the Carrera puts a smile on my face every time! Smiled for over 24 000 km´s (15 000 miles) last year alone... Street, track, around Europe and driving the kids to school.
Get one!

/BjH

Ps. I´ll post the pix, but don´t have time to resize and host them right now. Gotta run!

Crewser - It will be warmer in august! :-) Summer is the time to visit, but don´t count on SoCal climate... Hopefully you´ll have good weather and miss out on the rain. Sounds like a nice trip! If you´re on a cruise you´ll be on a busy schedule. Enjoy Scandinavia and surroundings!

ZORRO - here U go:
