New Double Din Kit

The previous owner of my 996 had installed a double din kit and I wasn't happy how it was holding up. I have installed the $160 kit available from eBay on my previous 996 and wasn't happy with the long term durability either, because the pressure fitting cover plate started to warp and a replacement was around $90 just for the trim plate. This new kit from Metra is awesome! (I'm not sure when it came out, but it seems new to me.) I got it for $24 dollars shipped. It doesn't include the wires, but those should be a maximum of about $20. The trim panel has a curve to match the car's trim panel, something the other $160 kit didn't have. The finish is very nice and the bottom relocation for the A/C and pocket are now one piece for a more seamless look. Anyways, I love this kit for $25, and not the $160 that I used to have to pay.

Hi,

Does this trim kit work with the factory cup holder (I have a 2004 C4S)?

Thanks,

Harry.
