CD Skips, on most every bump...

...and it blows. My 04 911 does everything except fly and every time I hit a lane bump my in dash CD skips...the changer in the trunk doesn't, it operates fine...I've heard it's the nature of the player, according to my mechanic (BTW, I have the factory stereo/CD/Navigation) but find it hard to believe a hundred thousand dollar car can't design a CD that doesn't skip. I've had it changed three times and still...anyone out there with a similar problem or better yet....solution?

i would ask your service guy to look into it. my has skipped less than 3 times in past year. there maybe something wrong and should be under warranty.

It's that damn newfangled rap music you whippersnappers listen to. Damn deejays makin' screeches and scratches, like that's some kind of music. Damn fools if you ask me.

I have a similar problem also. The in dash cd player wont skip on just like one bump but if there are a couple little bumps i the road back to back it will skip. where my trunk cd player never skips.

trunk cdc has a memory buffer. i an not sure if the dash player does or not. are you on stock wheel and suspension? try cleaning the cd lense with a wet lense cleaner cd a few times

i do have 19's with some low profile tires but it happened with the stock wheels also. i think it is because the cd player in the dash is different than the trunk
