Desperately Need Help

What did you use to clean up the SG mess? I made the mistake of using this **** before reading the posts about silicone. Will acetone work or should I just use warm/soapy water? I'm worried that the acetone will damage the clear plastic faces of the gauges. I also have finger print stains on two of the rings so what would you recommend using to smooth them out????
