Error P0343, cannot locate the hall sensor

I got the fault code P0343 for my LHD 2000 3.4 996, bad camshaft sensor bank 1.
I bought the new hall/camshaft sensor and I've gone crazy looking in here and in other forums about the location for the sensor.
The issue Is that I only found info on later or US models, while It seems the sensor position/quantity on european pre 2001 cars is different.
I got on EU Cars there's only 1 sensor, but where Is it?
Left (driver side) or right (passenger side) bank?
Accessibile from rear lid, like under coolant (left) or under airbox (right)?
Or do I need to lift the car?
