levers for hood and frunk
Ht all, my pull levers for hood and front trunk will not move and appear to be locked in place. Does anyone have insight for this and how to recover?
Thanks a bunch, coyote

Yes. The levers are probably stuck because your battery is dead. Unfortunately, the battery is in the trunk, which you cannot open. There are two ways to open it. First, you can use the jumper in the fuse panel near the driver's side footwell. Second, you can use an allen wrench to loosen and remove the cover near the levers. There are three that may have a plastic/rubber insert over the holes in the side of the lever cover. They are inboard of the cover and face toward the outside of the car. Loosen these three bolts and you will be able to remove the cover. Turn the cover over and attempt to open the hood. You will see the cable that leads forward and how it connects to the lever mechanism. Attempt to gently pull the lever and you will see a small metal plate that prevents you from pulling the cable. With a small screwdriver, push the plate out of the way and pull the lever. It should open. You can do the same to the decklid as well.
