B&H Short Shift Install?

Installing short shifter on 996. Where is the set screw for shift **** on 2004 996?

I think it is step 29 that first shows the set screw.

The set screw is on the front - just lift up the leather boot to expose the screw.

One note, several of the parts shown in picture come assembled (at least on mine). I'm refering to the aluminum bushings, inserts, washers, and retaining ring.

Some models have set screws and others do not. My '00 C-2 did not and my 996TT does. If there is no set screw, you need to pull very hard straight up to remove the **** and boot. Be careful. It is really on there and you run the risk of hitting yourself in the head once it releases.
