PCM2 and Telephone Installation

I have a 2004 Turbo with PCM2 NAV - MOST bus. I would like to install a hand free telephone integration kit for my Sony Ericsson P910i GSM cellular phone w/bluetooth. Desired features would include: audio mute, caller ID displayed on LCD, phone contact integration, voice dialing.

I also am looking at adding my iPOD to the system via the new Dension D2B - MOST product while retaining my 6 CD changer.

Any pointers any experience/suggestion would be appreciated.

Al

Al - I'm in the process of completing a similar project. I have an '04 C4S Cab with PCM2 and since I spent a fair amount on Aluminum look pieces from the factory around my NAV as well as Alum look speaker fronts for the BOSE's in the doors, I didn't want to entertain the thought of replacing the factory system. Trouble was, I wanted clean Ipod integration, as well as Sirius Sat Radio - bluetooth would be a nice to have as well.

What I did was simply replace the CD holder (1 DIN space) above the heater/AC control unit and put in an 06 Alpine head unit with (arguably) the strongest IPOD integration solution on the market. The ipod is in the center armrest (which is great since its hidden and also gets charged while its in there). With the head unit, i get a very clean install, with all the functionality I wanted (IPOD and Sirius), I get to keep my factory nav and it looks great. I'm having Eric@bumperplugs paint the alpine surround bezel Alum Look to match the other factory pieces, and I am thrilled with how well the ipod integration works (many of the aftermarket solutions don't let you use your playlists, especially if they're longer than 100 songs - mine are in the thousands). This one is very fast with all album info, artist info, and song info available. Alpine makes a bluetooth interface for the HU as well.

Now, the million dollar question: What about the MOST bus issue? I've ordered the MOST interface from DICE Electronics (I'm using a high end FM switch at present - which actually isn't that bad) which is an ipod interface with 2 AUX inputs. Since I've already got the ipod solution nailed, I'm only using it for the AUX. I'll be feeding the output from the Alpine HU into the Dice Box to replace my temporary FM solution. Should be completed in 3-4 weeks. I'll be placing a post with pictures once it's all completed. So far so good...

Dice available for Porsche?

Hi

I've been to the Dice site, it says that the Porsce solution is not yet available. Am I missing something there, here? Thanks for anything you have on this.

Screech - I ordered the system from DICE, and then a few weeks later I found out that they had delayed it due to a technical problem. They told me they anticipated an August delivery then, so we'll see if August becomes September... I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Thanks

J
