Tail of the Dragon Pictures etc.
Gang:
Well, I met my sister and brother in law in Nashville thisweekend. We went tot he Smoky Mountains to drive the "Tail of the Dragon". What is that you say? The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, with 318 curves in 11 miles
The roads were wet off and on due to rain but the TT stuck like glue and the M Roadster didn't do to bad itself.
Here are some pictures:
The scenery was just amazing
The rain was not bad but made for a fun drive
Here are some action shots

Tim,
Re: the Tree of Shame ... you were almost looking at it in the closeup photo of the Deals Gap sign .... it was about 10 degrees off to the right and about another 150 feet.
My wife and I were just down there last month and it's amazing how much more beautiful it is in just one month. We are also going back down the end of June and are looking forward to it as always.
I really love the color of your TT; it's gorgeous! Was the last shot taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Cherokee?

Well the plate is from the old, old owner.
I took them with a Canon Digital Rebel.
Yeah Arena has always been a color I loved. Funny thing is there is a 996 Arena for sale in the "For Sale" section. Hummmmmmmm if I were rich....
