Move the radio/AC controls down, or just shorten the air vent? or Both?

TIA!

My 2001 has the cupholder on top with the cd player under it. Then in the lower console it has the 4-cd holder over the air controls.

You would move the AC controls down. I did this procedure about 6 months ago on a '99.

Arrow

Or get these, the euro spec cupholders for MY99/00 cars. I heard that they where taken out of the US cars for some reason... They´re simple, work great, Porsche OE - and inexpensive. Also you wont spill coffee or Coke into your AC or stereo...

Make sure you have the three mounting holes in the panel of your car (red arrows) before you order.

The Euro spec holders cannot hold a large coffie as the
windsheild gets in the way. Completely worthless.
The ultimate holders are the way to go.

Cheers

But will it hold a gatorade, water bottle, or anyother 20oz bottle?

I forgot the size of servings in the US... If you want to drive around with large bottles in your Porsche the Euro-holder doesn´t work at all. But it will hold a smaller cup or bottle.
Ultimate Holders on the floor seem like the best idea.
