Question 1999 996 to 2002 996 conversion

Hi,

I currently have a 1999 996 C2 and am looking into converting the front end only to the 2002 look. I already have the headlights. Can anyone tell me what else I need to get to complete the conversion along with the estimated costs? I am assuming that I would also need to get the 2002 front bumper. Thanks for any help!

do a search as this has been discussed in detail MANYMANY times.....but you will need 2 fenders, 2 wiring harnesses for the headlights, the front bumper, and various scres and washers to make things fit right....I had mine done and from what I know, its not a DIRECT bolt on thing. There are some modifactions needed to make it all line up right.

Thanks for your reply Newport. Can you tell me about how much the whole conversion ran you including the painting and install? Also, where did you get it done? I live in the Los Angeles area.

In LA? thats where I got mine done...you are in luck....Call Raj or Brian at Culver City Customs, used to be Venice Collision Experts, they just changed their name) 310-202-1555...damn I know the number by heart...had way too much body work done there..lol...but seriously, they know these things, may have been the first to do it. They do top knotch work....amazing paint and body work....AND they know the EXACT parts needed for the upgrade to make it work and work well, plus they only use Porsche parts so its not jury rigged or anything like that...I had mine done in conjunction with someone hitting my drivers side fender so their insurance company paid for alot of it. I dont know what the total charge would be...I think in the 4k area, but since you have the lights, it will be cheaper.

I might add that it's a great time to upgrade your body at the same time. But if you're really looking for something great Raj also will do a custom WIDE body (all metal) for you.....

Raj is a cool guy, I had him paint my vehicle close to two years back.....

Good Luck,

-Eli

I think your better of buying yourself a 2002+ You get the Updated Body, Motor and Interior. Trade yours in for a 2002+
