Pics from the Octoberfest ad shoot
Got invited to have my car in an advertisement for the German Car Octoberfest at Fantasy of Flight:
www.fantasyofflight.com
It's being put on by Joe at Festivals of Speed.
www.festivalsofspeed.com
Festivals of speed really puts on some swanky events. Check out the site. Anyway, a few of use drove out there to be in the ad. The event and the ad is now linked with Makes and Models magazine, so that's where it will end up in print, as well as a bunch of online stuff.
Here are a few of the pics that Redblurr and I took. We don't have any that the real photographer took. Shoot got cut short due to wind. They were afraid the plane was going to tip over.

the 993 looked great on the outside, but the interior.... yeck. Luis993 would have creamed his pants if he saw it. bright yellow aged leather. everywhere; seats and all. looked horrendous. shame because the 993 turbo's are such sweet cars. i should have taken a pic but it was making me nauseous

the lower lip is shredded on the edges, but what can you do? clear bra on the front keeps it nice and ding free anyway

i love the way it looks, but between the sand on the roads here and the driveway inclines, it would look like hell in a matter of weeks. the black hides most of that stuff. i must scrape that lip at least twice everytime i take the car out. i contemplated a carbon lip, but smashing a thousand bucks worth of carbon doesn't sit well with me

When I installed the Techart chin spoiler, it was litereally 2 inches off the ground. Taking driveways sideways may be a pain, but it saves major wear on the chin spoiler.
