What options are best to look for?

I am looking to purchase a pre-owned 2000 C2/C4 within the next few days. I am wondering what you guys thought about options to look for. Is there anything that you guys would consider to be an important option to have? I will be using this car as daily driver. I live in Boston so it will see a fair amount of snow. I also drive about 1,000 miles a week (I work in Warwick, RI). I know I want heated/power seats and PSM/TC.

Thanks.

I would say a C4 with full leather and heated seats.....I would suggest the comfort seats....I have them and I commute 100 miles a day in the car...very comfortable.

Some Carbon would be nice to look at on those long drives.
Dimming mirrors and xenons are nice.
Sport seats a must for me.
Rear tires every 12 weeks for you buddy.

Every 12 weeks?!?! Are you f'ing serious? Is this a general thing with any tire or are some people running tires that actually wear better? Wow...

And does Litronics come with dimming mirrors?

My rear tires go right around 12,000 miles.
I think you can find lots of 6speeders that get even less.
Xenons and mirrors are separate but popular options.

Why don't you drive one of your other "currant" cars for the long drives?

Unfortunately, the long drives occur on a daily basis and as you probably know, a 325XI isn't much fun to drive, I am planning on selling the Audi and the MB is a leased vehicle that I don't want to put miles on... good questions though.

Thumbs up

Get post 2002 if possible. Just more power and turbo lights and some of the glitches have been ironed out in the post 2002 model .
I would suggest you to go with heated seats, Bose stereo, auto dimming mirrors and to avoid 19's. I too live in boston on boylston st. Let me tell you driving 19s on boston road is like a punishment!
Also, avoid cars that have been tracked....
Good luck with your search!!!!

Great info. man! Thanks! Yeah, I had 19's on my Audi and the roads did punish me. What color is your car? I will keep my eyes open. I live in the North End.

Justin
I bought my 01 C4 cab earlier this year - Love the car but do regret not having the patience to hold out for an MY02+ w/ sport seats. If you're gonna be driving in snow you need the C4. How much are planing to spend?
Good luck with the search
BTW - current, not currant.
