how dark is your tint? pics?!
I'm bringing my car into "a teriffic tint" in mission viejo, CA on Monday for a quote, and i was wondering how dark you guys tint your car?
My car is a seal grey metallic and i was planning on going maybe 35% on the front two windows, then 15% all around the rest; the rear winshield and those two rear 3/4 panel windows.
Anybody have pics of your tints?

In florida you can legally go 35% front and 15% rears
or you'll get a ticket. Here's a few pictures of my car with legal tint, day and evening pictures

I have 20% all around and 50% on the windshield. These pics were taken before the windshield was tinted but you get the idea on the 20%. It is great here in AZ.

Busylivn, I have the same color car as you, Ive been planning on getting my windows tinted as well. Ive always gone with "dark" all the way around. I think it looks better when you keep it the same all the way around. Its illegal to have ANY tint on windows in CA, but everyones got it anyways. You usually get hit up for a window tint ticket only if you've got limo tint or you getting pulled over for something else, like speeding, they will throw on the tint ticket ontop of it at that time. I cant remember the exact %, it might be 35%. As it was explained to me its the step below limo tint, they called it "dark". Hope this helps! I'll be getting "dark" tint all the way around shortly.

Personally I don't like having one shade of tint on the rear sides and a different shade on the front sides. I'm not too sure on the % shading but I usually go by light, med, dark, limo. I always have the front sides and rear sides done in med, the back window only done in dark, and the moonroof done in Limo to cut out heat. When you have one shade on both front and rear sides, it looks classier and enhances the lines of the car. When you put 2 different shades on the side windows, it adds one more unnecessary transition line. Having the rear window one shade darker looks good as well because when you look through the sides, you are looking at 2 overlapping medium tinted windows. When you look through the rear window, you are only looking through one dark tinted window (assuming you are not crazy enough to tint the front windshield in CA).

I agree with not having different shades on the front windows vs. the back windows. On your car, since it's a medium/dark grey, I'd get 20% all around. On a bright car, I'd get 15 to 5% all around. Here's my car with 5%.
