Any reason to avoid early build '99 C2s?

I'm looking at a 99 C2 with 50K miles at a local Porsche dealer. I'm assuming this is an early build due to the amber parking lights/turn signals.

Are there any real reason to avoid an early build 996? I've heard that there have been some problems, but I've also heard that some have been absolutely trouble free.

Since it is at a local Porsche dealership, is it worth doing a PPI? I don't have another Porsche dealership within 125 miles.

My 99 was such an early build that my tech was laughing about it when he ran the #'s. I could not be happier and so far trouble free.

Early '99 here too (including amber) and no issues. In fact I won't switch out the amber just because it makes people look twice and say "How old is this car?". 72K miles so far.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Are there any options I should look for or avoid in a 99?

Anything you regret or would have done differently?
