I rolled the rear fenders on my RX8. I paid a local shop $30 to do it, quick and easy. I had a 285/30/19 on the RX8(Stock is a 225/40/18). I thought rolling the fenders was a good thing. I don't know why they come the way they do anyways. I noticed when I hit a big dip or something I'd get a little rubbing, enough for me to pay the $30 to never hear it again. The offset is everything, I'm not a wheel guy but a lot of people know what can fit on here.

rolling fenders should be avoided at all costs. i think it's pretty ghetto to force a wheel to fit the body by molesting the body. the wheel should fit the car without any modification.

IMO I think it's ok to roll the upper inner fender lip to provide an extra 3/8" of clearance. Won't visibly change the lines of the car. But yeah, there is a limit- Car would look dumb with bulbed-out rear fenders.

i didn't have to touch mine running 19x8.5 up front and 19x12s rear lowered on pss9s.

i will never roll fenders on any cars i own to make aftermarket wheels fit. you shouldn't have to at all.

To each their own, just wanted a peace of mind in case I hit a bump and my sidewalls wont get slashed by my fenders or something

That's good to know, thanks Ben. What are your offsets in the rear and tire size / brand / profile?

did u see 20C4s' reply that GT3's came with factory rolled fenders? Interesting info.

you're going to have to ask alan baylis at wheel enhancement as i used his super secret sauce offsets. damon@tirerack.com knows them too.

you know what, i had to take a leap of faith in alan and damon as they both just said "they'll fit" so i never questioned it after i realized that they delivered on their promise.

i'm sure they'd tell me because it can be found. heck i can just look at my wheel stickers if someone really wanted them.
