schnazzy is infamous around these parts
DeputyDog95 has dynojet dyno's (listed below). I don't know the exhaust but the header is Suncoast. The numbers are with his supercharger but you can see that the header added 21.5 RWHP. Without the SC the HP increase may have been higher or lower, who knows. Headers can increase HP in NA/SC cars and will reduce weight (a bit).

Appearance. I doubt they do that much hp wise, but do let the air flow better and hence allow the other components to work more efficiently.

From what I have heard and read about adding headers on a N/A 996, they just move the HP up the powerband. You loose HP on the lower end and gain in the middle towards the top. IMO the 996 N/A needs all it can get on the lower end of the powerband. They do however, significantly increase HP on SC'd 996.
