Hard or soft?

Hard or soft?
I'm curious how many people like the look of the hard top on a cab? I'm thinking about using mine for the 1st time this winter but it really changes the look of the car.
Also - do any cab owners do anything special for the plastic rear window before putting it down for an extended time? I had an M roadster that came with a special blanket that covered the window before dropping to keep it from creasing.

Same here...nothing but compliments on the hardtop on my cab. I think it looks great.
I am waiting for Feb/Mar to remove it and go soft! WOOT!
Check out my avatar...hardtop looks SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

I put on my hardtop the first winter that I had the car.... cause it was new. Now I don't bother. Been sitting in my garage ever since. It's more of a pain in the *** to put on and take off. I'd rather drive with the top down and the heat up!
The cab is the ultimate sunroof with no blind spots!

A nice individual at renntech sent me the technical bulletins from Porsche on adjusting the hardtop & dealing with squeeks. I haven't needed them yet but looks like good info for any cab owner. If anyone wants it give me your email and I'll send it over.

I don't like the look of hard top, it's too bulky and looks like a shell.
I would use it to protect the soft top if I live in snow belts. However, I opted out since I am in CA and it would just take up space.
Leaving the top down for a long time will put a crease in the C pillar area.

I was going to get a hardtop, but believe it or not, the sales guy that we bought the car from said not to get it, because it can easily scratch the paint in the process of putting on and removing it. But I like how it looks.

Just a little curiosity...why use a hard top? Is there concern for damage due to weather or security purposes or what? Seems like the beauty of the Porsche cab (the best cab IMO) is that it is quite sturdy, weather resistent and with the push of the button it's gone. Excuse my ramblings...
