How does the Ruf set up differ from B&M?

The Ruf SSK is not top mount type. It is underneath the car type. It works the same way, you retain the OEM mechanical components. You can get the same set up at Suncoast Porsche for a lot cheaper than what RUF pricing. I believe the unit on sale right now to Dec 31 for $129. Keep in mind, you have to go underneath the car to install this kit. Hope this answer your question.

What happens if both are used concomitantly; B&M SSK and the Ruf under car type?

One would be the same as the other. Setup is only the different. For your question, you paid more and get the same result.

sorry guys!! been busy

the feel is alot different.. the B&M is alot of metal which makes the gear change feel stiffer.. sometime harder to get the car into gear... the Ruf part works at the linkage arms on the tranny itself.. not as short as the B&M but alot smoother shifts.. I will take some pix when Vince and I do it in the next week or two on his GT2.
