Everyone always talks about the spring and shock sets "settling" after a while. Can you or anyone share any thoughts or insight as to whether this new setup will settle any lower? Also, did you install an engine protection plate? Are you having to go at driveways or entrances with more caution to avoid scraping?

I really want to do this. Any settling/scraping issues will be the go/no go decision point for me.

Thanks in advance,
Dwayne

Thanks, great pics.
What kind of handling difference do you notice between ROWM030 and your X74? How about ride?

Thanks,
Scott (contemplating both suspension setups)

The protection plate serves two purposes. 1st... Protection to the exposed bolts on the bottom part of the engine (issue for MY 99 cars). From what I have heard they had the potential to catch on things and result in significant engine damage. 2nd... protection for low hanging coolant lines.

I installed the plate on my 99 ROW lowered C2 just to be safe. $100 is cheap insurance relative to a new engine or being stranded on the side of the road. The installation is very easy, just back it up onto a 2x4 or two for additional room to work with.

Is the engine protection plate a Porsche part? I have the 15K service next week and if so will have one installed.
