Painted my wheels

Hey guys...

I've been trying to upload a couple of pix of my latest mod. Eli suggested this method; I hope it works. I started out just wanting to fix some curb rash and ended up straightening out both back wheels, buying new tires and painting all four of them. this is what I ended up with. Eric is sending my yellow calipers this week. I hope to put them on this weekend along with a few other goodies....

Looks sharp. I've been considering some black wheels for my track tires. I think you might have just convinced me.

Thanks guys!! I had them painted by the guys who fixed the curb rash and straightened out both wheels (Supa Mags in Fort Lauderdale). They charge $100 a wheel for the fronts to break down, paint, mount and balance. They charged me $160 to do the same plus fix the rash and straighten both rears. Funny, the drivers wheel was bent worse than the passenger’s with the really bad curb rash. I was going to have them powder coated, but it was just easier to have everything done at the same place. I also had to buy two new rear tires as they were both pretty worn. I can’t believe how much smoother the ride is now.

Eric as in Eric Sandoval is doing the calipers. I’ll post some pix (now that I know how without 6 Speed upload) as son as I put them on.

eric did my calipers too. he does good work.

i like your wheels. may i make a suggestion? since you don't have a lip it makes it tough to break up the black between the wheels and the tires. what would look hot is a thin wheel stripe on the outside lip of the wheel. maybe the same color as your calipers. i don't know.... for some reason i think it would look cool it could be done in vinyl and then if you don't like it, just peel it off. no harm done.

somebody on here did it recently, maybe vralex, and it looked cool.

John,

there are three types http, html & the last one is [IMG]

Just use the last one under each photo with the [IMG] and it will pop up on the screen.

Not a big deal just not the correct selection. . . . The one you used is great if you're sending a link to someone over e-mail.

WHEELS LOOK GREAT BY THE WAY!!!
