Securing Fabspeed bypass pipes

I just got a set of used Fabspeed Bypass pipes, but they did not come with the clamps to secure them to the car. What are you guys using to secure these bypass pipes? What kind of clamps do they ship with? Any pictures? Thanks!

They do come with the clamps. Call them back and ask for Joe. He'll send them to ya.

He said he bought them used...

The clamps are OEM porsche parts. They should be the same as whatever you clamp you cat to the muffler with.

which bypass is this? exhaust/cat... either way youshould be able to reuse what is on the car itself. You can buy the clamps at any porsche dealer. $20 for exhaust clamps and $40 for the cat clamps.

they are muffler bypass pipes.. so the OEM clamps will work? I thought that maybe it was too small beause the bypass pipe goes over the OEM pipe whereas if you have a muffler, the two pipes are joined by the clamp. This would make me think that the OEM clamp will not open big enough to go over the bypass pipe, is it verified that the OEM clamp will work or is it speculation?

so the bypass pipes are bigger diameter than the stock cat pipe diameter? Is this verified or speculation? Just measure them to make sure. If they are the same size use the existing clamps, if not you need new ones from fabspeed.

this is for a 997, but basically the same..only one clamp (but you need aftermarket cats)

you have a 996...get the clamps from fabspeed...the bypass pipes are larger diameter than the pipes from the cats and slip over them, whereas the stock muffler pipe clamps just hold the two pipes together....

Joe is great. He'll send you the clamps for the bypasses. I just installed mine a few months ago and let me tell you they are really loud.

When you go FULL THROTTLE on an entrance ramp, you get a lot of looks, but that just makes it all the more fun.

ENJOY!!!
