Thanks for a great event!!
Ron,
Much props for setting up a great run! Iām looking forward to the next one. About the frame around my plate, I'll trade you for a 6speedonline frame. I "know" you want mine......
BTW, we have the whole run on video! We're in the process of editing so wait for it........
Thanks again,
Rob

Most of the video was shot from the front but we did get "some" back shots while stopped. I'm in editing hell!! We've got more than 1 hour of footage and I want to get it down to no more than 3 minutes of mpeg.
We've got 3 runs through the canyons, the first sprint was to 110-120, the second to 120-130 and the third to 130-150!!!
My little 996 cab was basically smoked by the TT's but she still got up in the 3 digits!!
I'm a little nervous about posting since our license plates are plain as day! Would be really bad that no one got caught by the Popo during the canyon runs but got busted because of my video!!
Oh well, I guess that means I have to be "extra" careful to not include anyone's plate. Well, I guess the only exception would be "Ron", cause I owe him one for the "USC" comment!
J/K Ron! I wouldn't do you like that bro!!
Video to come....................

I was the lead car. I know Miki (Miki4S) was right behind me. Who elso was in the lead group? Who else got to pass the slow cars on the uphill passing lane (Santiago Canyon)?

Yes,
I was part of the first group. Video is all about the first group going through the canyon. Granted I was left behind, but my NA 996 was at 110, 120 & 135 and the lead pack was pulling away. So, I would say the TT group was a good 10 to 15 faster.
I'm about half way done on the video. I'll post an FTP site for you guys. Kind of slow but it works. If anyone has a high speed download site I can post the video to please let me know.
Thanks guys!

yup yup that was some cool ish. I can't wait to do another canyon run. We have to do something early in the morning. Maybe a Palms to Pines run. Highway 74 going to Palm Desert is really fun and has some nice fast spots as well as really good twisty parts. Another fun thing to do is the dry lakebed in the desert. I go there every weekend with my truck, but i have taken the porsche out there. Very fun doin all wheel drifts for as long as you can hold it.
Ron that was some fun driving. It was fun following you. I had a blast and can't wait to do something again.

Miki,
Yea, I agree I had a blast with you guys. If it was not for you and Eric (Eride) I would have driven more mellow. Everytime I had a glimpse in my rear view mirror either you or Eric were on my tail. I kept on saying "these boys are crazy, how much more should I push" and the more I did push the more you guys did. You guys made it fun. Props to my boys. . . I'd like to check out the dry lake bed. Does the car get thrashed out there?

If you don't mind a lot of dust everywhere. It's not that bad. I had to spend a whole day cleaning afterwards, but well worth it. My buddy that was with me sat. builds RX=7's, and he does the craziest 360's everytime we go. It's nice and quiet out there f we go at sunrise. It is super smooth out there. Sometimes we catch the time trials out on the lakebed.
