problem filling up on gas

For the past two months a have noticed that I cannot fill the gas tank completely. I am always about 1/8 of the tank close to full. I find that I need to keep clicking the gaz noozle. Has anyone had a similar experience? I have ant 04 c4s cab. thanks in advance!!!

i had this problem & took it to the dealer to fix under warranty. They said there is some soft of sensor or wire in the tank that got stuck... the thing is that after they replaced it, I still get the problem of it clicking off, but not all all pumps, only sometimes... but it will consistently not work on the same pumps so I just try to avoid those pumps..

Sounds like a bad ORVR-on board refueling vapor recovery valve. Have your dealer check it out.

Cmont - what yr is your car? I just started experiencing the same thing on my 01 and assumed it was the gauge because it also gets stuck at the low reading when I wait to long to refill.

Wow, it was this very question that I leaned about the old Porsche list(now Rennlist) site.

Do you happen to have the part number for that part? I have been having that some problem and when I fill up, I only get 12 gallons from the empty light. And when the pumps click, my gauge shows it as 4/5 full.
