Anybody with a MOST 996 got iPod hooked up yet?
Hey all... was curious if anybody here with at 2003 or 2004 (MOST) 996 got the newly released Dension kit to hookup iPod in place of CD-Changer?
Would love to hear how its working out for you. Thinking of getting one myself, but my biggest concern is that iPod might be a pain to control via my CDR unit.
thanks...

I'm waiting for someone to create the interface for the iPod Shuffle. I had no need for a full pod and now wish that I had it.
How much longer before someone makes the connection for a solid satellite connection that isn't an FM signal? I can spend tons of money to put in the PCM but there must be a better way coming down the line. If the pod can be connected to the Denison, I wonder why it can't be worked out to take in the XM signal?

I ask the guy who installed my sound system in my other car for iPod connection to the Pcar, he told me that if I have a cd changer, than it will be an easy job, he can just installed some kind of an "adapter" directly into the changer, so when I play the iPod, it will automatically shut off/switch the cd changer to iPod, sounds pretty good to me, I surely don't want any FM transmitter as the sound quality won't be as great as direct plug in. Not sure about the cost, but will be about $150 or so...

It sounds like they made somthing simple very complicated. I just switch out all the head units in my cars to alpine, and its really simple to hook in whatever you want. I just really hate Ipods. Apple can’t even make computers, why do they even bother with those crappy wate of money mp3 players. They dont sound good and the battery dies in a half an hour even when they are brand new. Whats the deal with those things? I threw mine out the window on the freeway. I guess I should invest in some anger management. Oh well I guess the 100lbs bag under my deck will work for now.

It's not that complicated, we have begun shipping the first group buy units out and they are installed and working perfectly, AND we have a large supply of inbound inventory due this Friday. The adapters, cabling and requirements are quite easy to follow. Dealers are installing quite a few, and so far, so good.
