Oil change after break-in period?

Oil change after break-in period?
Just finished putting 1200 miles on my new engine. Going to car control clinic tomorrow (perfect timing). Did break-in correctly too: minimal number of cold starts, vary RPMs, never over 4200. Pushed it today to just a bit over 5K RPM.
The question is... should i do an oil change on monday? I am pretty much set on doing an oil change, unless there is a very good reason not to?
I am a bit OCD, so i am imagining all kinds of tiny metal shavings swimming around in the oil as a side-affect of the new engine break-in.

I would change it before going to the clinic. Still take it easy on it for a while longer. Not too many extended high rpm stints. There would never be metal shavings in the oil, only very small particles, and those are trapped by the filter. Just time to change it though, get out all the assembly lube that’s in the first start oil.
