so i did GT3 console delete today. i followed these great directions. since i am 6'2", i can really appreciate this mod. everything went well. i even relocated both heated seat switches into the horseshoe.

the problem is that i also have Bose -- that means a subwoofer in the passenger footwell. well, it seems like there is a disconnect between doing GT3 console delete and Bose stereo.

i guess i have two options now:

• have a stereo shop fabricate a little triangle piece with black carpet on top to plug-in the opening
• simply remove the sub (would need to get black carpeting since there is none under the sub)

any thoughts?

(btw, that pic with four screws.. well.. i was suppose to end up with four screws that were holding the lower console in place. except i ended up with one screw which is different. i guess i used a wrong screw somewhere, but i can't seem to remember where)

 

The fine pitch screw is for the flat plastic piece that is in the bottom of the console box.

 

sorry i am not sure i understand... you mean the plastic piece inside the rear console storage?

Yes, that's correct. It would be the one screw in the middle and to the rear of that piece. I would also probably have a small piece made for the console before I tried removing the box all together. I'm not sure it would look good without changing the complete front carpet section. Sounds like it would be tuff to match the carpet for a patch.
