MY '01 996 c2 clutch replacement

Anyone out there do a clutch themselves (at home). I will be replacing mine soon and RMS as well. Looking for Porsche instructions. Specifically torque requirements and special tools if any.

Thanks in Advance

You might also check out renntech.org for DIY instructions and threads on this topic. Be wary of doing the new RMS without the Porsche specific tool for the new seal. Porsche has updated the RMS tool a few times and has specifically designed it not to overseat the seal. You'll also probably want to replace the intermediate shaft seal, IMS bolts, and the case bolts (new Porsche sealant on the new bolts to prevent leaks) while you are in there. Also, make sure that your car has the update shift lever. I don't recall when it came out but I've recently seen a Boxster that snapped the old style shift lever and hosed both the clutch and the flywheel.
