I did the MKII hack, was unimpressed, and have switched to Fabspeed. Couldn't be happier now.

I have factory sport exhaust on my 03 C4S. It really only makes it louder when you get on it. Not much of a difference at idle. But when you excellerate and go through the gears it has a very nice sporty throaty sound like a sports car should have.

Wow can't believe this thread is still alive....

BTW, as 996c4s_dallas states with PSE hack you do have to get on it to hear the exhaust and if you have a cold air kit unless you are next to a wall or in a tunnel, you may not hear it. The MK II hack is the same..

Each to their own preferences...The Fabspeed is loud all the time, if I wanted that I'd throw plates on my race car and drive it to work...

BTW it doesn't bypass the muffler, just one chamber in the exhaust which is why it's nice and throaty on idle, but when you open it up she screams....

Just noticed your in the NY area, if you want to hear what it sounds like let me know...
Corey, please send me a soundclip of the exhaust?
