Give me your opnion

Hello Gentlemen
Late last night I go down to my garage and as usual I stand back to cherish the lines on my car and what do I see? 2 scratch marks right above my rear passanger side wheel. I don't know how you guys are but even though these are just about a few inches long and you can only see them in specific angles they are driving me crazy. Is it crazy to get these fixed? Some friends say you can't take your car to the body shop every time there is a little scratch on it but I can't stop thinking about it and I just got to do some thing about it. I really appreciate all of your opnions and finally after joining this forum I feel there is other people that love cars as much as I do. Can you please give me your opnions. By the way I will be coming to the Santana Row this Saturday for the first time and looking forward to meeting all of you.

It is prolly just clearcoat deep and you can take them off using a scratch remover.

Like PeterK said see if they can be polished out. If not, take it to the body shop and see what they say. If it's bothering you have it fixed. It's YOUR money. When your friends start paying your bills then they can tell you how to spend YOUR money.

How deep are they? You can probably easily take them out yourself or get them fixed. I'd get them fixed, rather spend the money than look at them!

Generally, if you can feel them with your fingernail, it's gone down to the paint, therefore, won't polish out... if on the other hand you cant feel them with your fingernail, the only fix is to have it painted. Whether or not you choose to pay $800 to have a panel painted is entirely up to you.

My opinion? If you don't want a scratch on your car, ride a bike
