Is my flywheel worn?!?

I went to my indy mechanic to take a look a the pieces that they took out. After inspection they suggest that i replace the flywheel as long as the whole deal is taken apart already. I already plan on doing the clutch, but didnt really plan on the fly wheel. I've done ALOT of reading trying to see if i really need to do this and whether or not to go lightweight or stock, and i seem to be getting no where. Maybe you guys can help? My best description of the flywheel is that it looks like a brake rotor thats been used for awhile...very shinny and kindof grooved into the plate. There are also quite a few of these little black oval spots all over, the mechanic said these were burn marks and are signs of wear. There are no visable cracks currently, but may be coming?!? I've never used this shop before and want to play everything safe.

If it helps the car is an 01 w/ 75k on the clock?

Thanks in advance!!

is this the first clutch? There is a way to resurface the flywheel, and it can be done, but its a special process and the shop should know how its done....I have been told that these flywheels usually last for 2 clutches...and if you drive a bad clutch for a while it does more damage to the flywheel...as for lightweight vs standard...the BEST system I have seen is the GMG lightweight with a custom designed clutch for that flywheel....Its a beefier clutch meant to handle the flywheel spinning up and down faster...it also has no "chatter" at idle...ever hear a Ducati bike at stoplight? Thats clutch chatter, and your car will do that...its not horrible, but some people dont like it. The GMG combo is about $3500 installed...so if you already bought a clutch, I wouldnt do a LW flywheel as they need a beefier clutch for optimum results...
