Will an 01 996TT Nav system fit on a 02 996?

Does anyone know if the nav system on an 01 TT fit on a 02 996 Cab. If not is there some sort of module that I can use? Any insight?

Not worth it. It's the PCM-I and there are no updated nav disks. Also since it's not the MOST based one the install is very involved.

You are better off getting a good aftermarket solution...Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine, Eclipse all make EXCELLENT double din TOUCHSCREEN Nav units....I have the Kenwood....with the right install it all looks factory and works a million times better.....

I have pcm1... it is cd based rather than dvd and need like 6 discs for all of US and its not even updated... so it sucks!... but for on board computer, speed alarms, radio...etc its all good.
I like the oem look but...so it does the trick for me for weekend drives...
I would go pcm2 if you want oem

Yea go with Aftermarket, they're much better, or better yet, if you don't want to drill anything in your dash, get the portable ones, they gotten so cheap these days.

Topics been covered quite a few times on here.....

After-market.... You'll spend way too much to do this.....

I got the Pioneer Z1 and it was all installed for around 2K..... 7" screne, nav, DVD, 30 gig hard-drive, Ipod, rear camera terminals, traffic, etc. etc.... May even wash your car if you read the manual..

Nope PCM2 which is lightyears away from PCM1 can't be placed in a car without the MOST bus which it uses for may different sensor inputs. The cost to retrofit MOST isn't worth it.

I agree with everyone else. I have an 01 with the Nav and the technology is 6-7 years old. It is butt slow. I bought a Magellan for my truck and it's light years ahead.

please please get an aftermarket NAV, factory sucks.
plus, you can watch movies, play mp3's and your stereo system will sound 2x as good.
