My first porsche 911

Found this site through ferrari chat and there seems to be a lot of interesting info (especially with the check engine light bug). I can't wait to have it delivered, will post pics of the baby coming in soon! Here it is at auction:

Great looking car....saw that one on Ebay. I do wonder about the check engine light vs. the inspection. Keep a careful eye on that and do a search for a resolution. If the state you live in does emissions check via the OBDII port, the car will not pass. Check the MAF, vac lines and o2's. The exhaust mod should not throw a code unless cats and all have been removed.

Enjoy the new ride...

I've been looking around the forum and online and there seems to be a way for the car to display the error codes. Any suggestions on how I would go about that?

most auto parts stores will loan you the tool with a deposit or read the code for free in the parking lot. if their scanner does not tell you the critical info, do a search on this forum and you will surely mind it here.

Congratulations. Very nice and agressive look.

My first mods would be:
1- Debadge it.
2 -Seats are too softcore and don't blend very well with the hardcore exterior.

1-Is the front badge just a stick on (like the rear) or will I have to fill the hole or get a new hood
2-Yea they seem a tad worn out, I'm thinking of replacing them.

Front emblem is inserted to hood so there will be two holes. Be careful when removing the tabs holding the emblem..they can slide into the hood. I modified mine with the Silver emblem which looks better on my Grey Slate paint.

The kit is not GT2 but looks very nice! Porsche is the most reliable of the high end sport car makers, but nothing is perfect. Look into warranties available.
