Painting Calipers Advise.....

Well I have a Speed Yellow C2 with Sport Design Wheels, side skirts and Rear Tail. I have been thinking of painting my calipers Yellow and adding yellow seat belts ....am I going too yellow and should go red seat belts and red calipers...

Paint options

a) Also Ebay has yellow/red paint kit available for 40 bucks....a guy I know can paint them on for 150.....

b) A good body shop in OC has suggested I Powder Coat them yellow..that way they will always stay on....charging 500 bucks....probably will do it for 400

I am not handy so cannot do it myself...

so suggestions on the color ,,,, and suggestion on the options a or b

hell no, yellow car with yellow calipers will look good. i don't think you should go red. forget the powder coating too much money and work to get your calipers a different color. the epoxy paint kit or track auto caliper paint will be good enough. paint stays glued on the calipers for years. just becareful when removing and putting on your wheel. just don't forget to order the "porsche" decals.

You can buy a FoliaTec caliper painting kit for cheap. My buddy used it on his NSX and it's lasted for years. They have a ton if various colors. Very very easy to do yourself...

eride, what's the story with the decals? the only thing that stops me from doing my car now is the porsche logo. not sure how to do that and have it look right.

I have heard that some of the dacals come of easily. Is that true? And, if so, what decals are the "right type" to not come off?

I have yellow seat belts with an Aerokit on my SY Carrera...I'm going yellow calipers. It'll look great. Either way, red calipers would look too.

Sorry for the delayed response we took a long weekend up in SF. The paint on stuff looks like **** IMHO. If you are going to do then Powder coat them. I am picking up two sets going out this week in Red...but the Yellow do look sharp!

Which color would you think looks better on Artic Silver? Red or Yellow? (The wheels will be something with anodized black centers)

Adam; I think both look equally good. Red is more common, so yellow stands out more.
