Good Bye (for now....)

Good Bye (for now....)
Hi all,
To all my new found friends, I regretfully inform you that I have sold my '99 C2. The need for a more usable rear seat (for my son) and a larger trunk (to carry a stoller among other things) forces sale. I picked up a '04 M3 this weekend. I hope no one will mind if I still hang around and perhaps join a get together or two.
Thanks all for the information you've all provided.

Charles,
I owned two E46 M3's prior to my 996 cab, loved both of them, one was a coupe and the second was a Cab, great cars.. Look forward to seeing the new M3...

Kevin,
Yes, I do have my priorities in line but I have to say selling the 996 wasn't a very easy thing to do. I hope my son will appreciate this
Austin996C2,
The M is the best compromise I could find. I did look at the S4 but Audi didn't have a club that had events which I enjoy (Autocross) so BMW was it.
20C4S,
Yes I do know where is Lucent is and I'm sure you'll be seeing me more often as I try to make this M handle more like the C2 I used to own.
02Barebones996,
You bet! I'll see you at the next get together and run. Perhaps the M will give you a run for the money..... NOT. The M is a great compromise to the 996 but it's still not a 996.
ProV1,
I traded in my '99 C2 with 65k miles on the clock for $34k. A little on the low side but...... it was a trade and I'll be the first to admit, 65k isn't a low mileage car. I miss my car already.
L.A.Cab,
The M fits what I wanted to accomplish. Its a great car for what it can do but I still like to own another Porsche in the future.
Sandoval,
I was solo PCH, if it was a new black M3 then it could be me. Of course Black M3s are a dime a dozen. I plan on visiting Crystal Cove this coming weekend before leaving to Taiwan on Business. Perhaps I'll see you there.
