C4S with X51, Evo S/C and Aerokit?

Could be the ultimate 996 911?

NeverFastEnough has the looks but what about taking it to the next level? Take what arguably is the best 911 ever and match it with the power of an Evo S/C for an over the top 996 C4S!

What do you think?

Eric

No offense but that will be far from the ultimate 996.

woa....
I just thought it was funny...on this forum there are people with 700HP TTs and even their cars are not the "ultimate 996"
I think you should define what you mean by ultimate first..
I have a TT aerokit and 600HP which in the TT world is equivalent to the proposed C4S and believe me even I am far from ultimate...Besides, who cares about titles? As long as you are happy with the way you build and upgrade your car it should be all that matters....

Cool ride?...no doubt. But the ultimate 996 911? Hardly...search the forums here and you'll find some pretty crazy cars that would most likely do more damage on the road/track than a S/Ced C4S...even with the X51 package. Besides, the X51 package is a 25hp gain that's hardly worth the extra $14k. With that money, you might as well just choose the s/c over the package.

The engine in both the Carrera and the C4S is the same. So you'd probably be getting the same power gain at the flywheel by supercharging either car. But then consider the all-wheel drive system in the C4S, which will undoubtedly rob power, and will thus deliver less power to the wheels than the C2. All-wheel drive also makes the C4S somewhat heavier. So already a S/Ced C2 is probably a bit quicker than a S/Ced C4S.

Looks? well i love the looks of the C4S, but i prefer it w/out the aero kit. Plus it sort of looks like a lacking Turbo w/out the side air intakes. If i couldn't afford a Turbo, I'd have to say I'd rather s/c the C2 than the C4S.

Of course if you're looking to do something not many people do, a S/Ced C4S would still be a bad *** ride. And you'd probably never run into another S/Ced C4S on the road. It's not the ultimate 996, but it would definitely be cool. I like the individuality of the idea.

Msindi, quick question, saw your site, nice car!!
I see the sticker shows 14K for the X50 option, why not skip this, save 14k, and go the a/m route with the K24's, GT2 intercoolers, GIAC?? Just curious as the X50 is so expensive for 45hp?
Thanks

Actually, X50 was 17,900 USD...
I agree if I could redo it I would go the GIAC route. Eiother way, the X50 comes with K24s, GT2 intercoolers so I already have thos. I also have the IA600 (GIAC level 4 program, 93 octane, 600HP) on my car.
X50 is a ripoff for what you get. Its good for those always worried about warranty issues and modding. I am not so it was a waste.

I forgot that the X50 comes with the KKK24's and GT2's so at least that helps..So far I haven't heard of very many TT failures from those that have mod'd the engines with the GIAC, etc... and are pushing 600hp..I guess Porsche built the engine right the first time and anticipated the hp increases of thr GT2 which I hear is actually about 500hp so there has to be some wiggle room left within the engine to take the 600hp and have no problems..
Too bad the same can't be said of the 3.6 with the RMS problems and such..Looks like my next car will be a TT..

i think the ultimate 996 would be a jet powered rocket engine with NR Auto's body kit knock off. at least that would be my "ultimate porsche". i figure since 500 hp can't seem to satisfiy most people, who probably don't even track that often, let alone handle the HP on there car stock, i say what they hell lets just add a rocket. as for body stylin, it's all personal preference. just a thought....

Msindi, how much seat of the pants difference between the stock X50 and your now? Big difference or noticeable difference.
I have only driven stock TT non X50 and wasn't impressed by it.
I'm assuming X50 isn't a huge leap in power??
Thanks
