AC control unit. LCD Screen bleeding.

My AC unit has some bleeding in the LCD display. I am thinking about pulling it out and buying a used/new unit. There is no problem with the functionality, just a cosmetic issue. When the Temp is at 70 degrees, the right hand side of the 0 is not illuminated...and on the right side of the display, there is a half-moon shape bleeding from the right hand side of the screen.

Has anyone ever heard of this shop???

Anyone else have experience fixing this problem?

By the way, a new unit is about $400....so looking for a cheaper alternative. Part number 996-653-101-03-EFR-M100. If anyone has one for sale cheaper, let me know. I found it on Pelican parts.

Thanks in advance.

That is nice timing Jurichar....looks like you did a good job. Not sure I have the time or patience to do all that. How long did it take you total?
