I'm kind of liking the 10-spoke design, apparently these are custom made in socal and i'm trying to find out brand / where to get.
18x10x40mm R / 18x8x48mm F

Opinions? This is a pic of a rear wheel, the fronts have a narrower lip.

I think it looks good too!
But...how much $...and how much do they weigh?
Also, you gotta make sure they are good replicas,
otherwise you're gonna have only problems with them that no balancing will resolve.

They look like BSA's....You're on a modding terror huh?

I bet these wheels weight a ton!

I think a rear wing should be on your list before knock-off wheels. By CUSTOM wheel, he probably means the bolt pattern.

I dont think those will fit on the rear....the stock wheel is 18x10 et 65...that wheel would be like putting a 25mm spacer on your stock wheel....I dont think you have 25mm work of clearance.

LOL- yeah, I guess i'm on a bit of a run, eh?
Like my friend told me today "the first thing to do is admit you have a problem... then say F*** it and get on with things". haha

So I found the private dealer in Thousand oaks, am meeting him tomorrow to look at them in person. They weigh 24-25 lbs approx, and are made of cast aluminum in the same process as OEM wheels. we'll see. I will also find out price / availability.

He is also unsure of the offset fitment for a 996 nb, and has been running these on tracked 987's and boxsters for some time with good results. Again, we'll see.
I just like this particular 10-spoke design, and can't seem to find it from anyone else. If these don't look decent i'll be back to getting GT3 wheels and painting centers black.

I'm not sure about the rear wing- I want to see how everything looks before picking one up- I might also go with a GT2 wing, what do you all think?

update:

I got to look at the wheels today, they are actually made quite well. The finish is baked on and has a generous amount of clear coat. They are not much heavier than my current wheels. Price is $1k for the set.

Problem: The 25mm added offset of the rears (boxster fitment)

Option1: I would have to drop down to a 265 tire and possibly sneak in a bit of negative camber since my car is lowered.
The seller has one customer with a NB 996 and is running these wheels no problem with a 265 tire and stock suspension height.

Option2: Shave 5mm off of the rim mounting surface to bring it back in enough to fit with my 285 tires. I have access to a machine shop so definitely considering this option.

The wheels are absolutely beautiful in person and the center caps are 997 w/ larger porsche crests (real ones). The caps are custom painted black.
Center caps are not included, $150 for the set.

I talked to Fab at EF1 motorsports about it (since he would be doing the mount / balance / install) and he suggested the 5mm shave.

i WOULD NOT shave a wheel...if its not done PERFECTLY the wheel will never balance properly and will always have a wobble....and I would NEVER run 265s on it...find wheels that fit....thats my advice. Why rig wheels to fit a Carrera?
